Molsdorf Palace and Garden

We spent our first day at this lovely manor house near Erfurt. We've been very lucky - it was wonderful day and we took a stroll through the garden and had a cup of coffee in the sun!

Schoss Molsdorf

Unseren ersten Tag verbrachten wir in diesem schönen Schloss in der Nähe von Erfurt. Das herrliche Wetter genossen wir im Garten des Schlosses und zum Abschluss saßen wir in der Sonne und gönnten uns einen leckeren Kaffee. 

Historic Cemetery an Ducal Vault in the heart of Weimar

Always worth a visit is this historic site in the heart of the beautiful city of Weimar. Naturally we visited the cemetery during our stay in Thuringia. It's such a special place and not only because of the Ducal vault where the most famous poets and writers Johann Wolfgang von Goethe and Friedrich Schiller have been laid to rest.
Take a walk along the winding paths, read the epitaphs, rest on a bench and listen to the singing of the birds and the silent whisper of the old trees...

Historischer Friedhof  und Fürstengruft Weimar 

Immer wieder einen Besuch wert - der beeindruckende Historische Friedhof in Weimar. Auch wir besuchten ihn während unseres Aufenthaltes. Der Friedhof ist ein ganz besonderer Ort und nicht nur wegen der Fürstengruft, in der Johann Wolfgang von Goethe und Friedrich Schiller hier begraben sind.
Ein Spaziergang über die gewundenen Wege, eine Minute der Ruhe auf einer Bank sitzend, das Innehalten beim Lesen einer Grabesinschrift, das Singen der Vögel und das leise Rauschen der Bäume....
