The capital

I’ve been thinking…
...about the first post here and I thought it would be appropriate to show you some pics of our last trip to London in October 2010!!! I know, there may be myriads of London photos already....
There are some tips as well!

Almost every London trip brings us to the "TEA" ... a small tearoom behind St. Paul's Cathedral where we meet, talk an drink al sorts of tea and have a good time!

You can learn more about their tea at their website or you can read some reviews

Hyde Park

Lucky us...the weather was wonderful on this October morning

Two Sky-Mirrors, made by artist Anish Kapoor, reflecting the sun and the clouds over London

Recently you can find bicylcles for rent throughout the city, but I'm not sure if I had the guts to go around town on a bike

A tiny, enchanting little bookstore in Chelsea where you can browse through piles of books!

Our friend Verity told us about this museum...

... The Old Operating Theatre...a very special place. The Theatre was lost for years and was found again 50 years ago. Now you can see how a surgeon worked a 100 years ago...without any anästhesia.

Some of the stuff and instruments look the same as the stuff they use nowadays!

...The Old Operating Theatre...ein ganz besonderer Ort.

The operating room was a theatre in much ways...the apprentices could follow the operation vom the circles

***

Go there...it's worth a visit!

Unbedingt mal anschauen!
